CD 67

The longer my cycle drags on, the less I feel like blogging. It feels like things don't change, it is just a record of my temperatures each morning, which fluctuate too much to have meaning. Unfortunately, now I wish I had blogged more this month, because now I can't say how I felt each day.

A couple weeks ago, my online cycle tracker suspected ovulation. Say wha??? I was rather confused and less than mildly impressed. I had skipped a day or two of temping, so it took what I had entered and called it ovulation. Not cool. After a few more days, it basically said "Oops, my bad," and took back the ovulation. So now I'm back to just regular Cycle Day 67, rather than Days Past Ovulation. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing I still had a chance this cycle.

Now, the reason I came to blog: Today was my big ultrasound! It took almost a month, but I had my appointment at the hospital this morning. There isn't much to tell yet, it'll take a few days to get any results. It was harder than I expected, though. I hadn't realized just how tightly I had been clinging to ridiculous hope. You know, I'd be laying there, and the technician would say "I know you are here to figure out why you have such long cycles, but that'll have to wait because you're pregnant! Look at the heartbeat!" Yeah, that hope.

She didn't tell me there was a baby, that was just a dream. She asked me when my last period was, and I told her, and said that was why I was having an ultrasound done, because my cycles are not regular. She measured what I assume were the uterine walls, and after a few minutes I was all done.

So now it is just a waiting game. I will phone in a couple days to make an appointment for next week, and then I will know what the next step is. Luckily I am estimating it'll take another month to ovulate, which gives me plenty of time to get results, make a plan, meet SD2, and start trying! Very exciting.

I need to list my temps now (only temps--I haven't been checking my cervix regularly), and it will probably get long, it just just for my records.
